2013 Area VIII Championships
Tournament Schedule
** Friday, March 15
4:00PM – 5:30PM Weigh-ins in the wrestling room (Do not arrive at school before 3:45)
6:15PM Coaches Meeting
in the wrestling room
SESSION 1
6:45PM - 9:00PM
Wrestling
will include the pigtail, all quarterfinals and the first round of round
robins.
** Saturday, March 16th
SESSION 2 (9:00AM - 1:30PM)
9:00AM - 1:30PM
Wrestling to
include semifinal matches, both remaining round robin matches, all consolation
matches except the consolation finals for all age groups.
1:30PM – 2:30PM (Immediately following
semifinals matches)
Finals/Consi Finals- All 6&Under and
8&Under divisions will wrestle in the East Gym for the entire tournament
and wrestle in order of bout number on the same mat through the finals and true
seconds for the 8&Under. (A small
parade of champions before finals matches)
2:30PM - 4:00PM Break
SESSION
3 (4:00PM – 9:00PM)(Doors open at 3:00PM)
4:00PM
– 4:30PM Parade of Champions
Wrestlers in
the finals are asked to report to the west gym at 3:45PM to line up for parade
of champions.
4:30PM – 9:00PM
Wrestling
will include all championship matches, consolation finals, and true second for 9&10 11&12 13&14. All weight classes for finals, consolation
finals and true seconds will wrestle on 3 mats in the East Gym only. Matches in the finals will be announced by their
bout numbers and assigned to a mat.
